Core Conversion Set For Fall 2022  

We are excited to announce that we are converting to a new core banking system on October 29th through October 31st. We have decided to change our core system so we may continue to provide you with safe, secure products and services all while utilizing the newest technology.

While our core conversion will mostly be happening behind the scenes, there will be times where it will affect some of the services you may use. We will keep you up to date on when and what will be affected so that we can assist you in being prepared for the enhancements. We also want to provide you with more information on what a core conversion is and why we are doing it.

Core Conversion

Our core processing system, also known as a core system, is the software that manages our major banking functions. These functions include:

  • Opening and managing accounts
  • Originating and servicing loans
  • Processing cash deposits and withdrawals
  • Maintaining account holder information
  • Processing transactions
  • And more!

Why The New Core?

To improve our services, efficiency, and accommodate growth, we are upgrading our core system. Our new core system will allow us to offer you more capabilities, offerings, and enhance your experience with us. These features include:

  • Remote Deposit Capture (mobile check deposit)
  • Mobile Banking
  • Online account opening
  • Online loan applications and automated approvals
  • Real time account and transaction alerts
  • Home Banking & Bill Pay enhancements
  • Plus, much more!

ON TUESDAY, NOV. 1, DFCU WILL BE LAUNCHING AN ALL NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART ONLINE AND MOBILE BANKING PLATFORM. WITH MULTIPLE WAYS TO PAY AND AN ENHANCED FEATURE TO CONNECT ALL YOUR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS, WE’RE MAKING IT EASIER THAN EVER FOR YOU TO CONTROL YOUR MONEY.

In keeping our commitment to provide efficient and advanced banking services, we are upgrading our core processing system on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

This is an exciting change for you, as it will greatly improve your banking experience. With the new core system, you will experience a wide range of benefits, including better integration of the credit union’s services both online and within our new mobile app, more functionality and personalized features to manage your money, and improved efficiency in our services. Overall, this technology upgrade will provide state-of-the-art systems to enhance the services and products we offer our valued members.

WHAT IS A CORE PROCESSING SYSTEM?

The core processing system is the computer software and supporting hardware that Dynamic Federal Credit Union uses to maintain members’ deposit and loan accounts, process transactions, and support services such as debit cards and online banking.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?

Online banking, mobile banking app, and bill pay will be accessed by one username and password. Joint owners will have their own separate log ins. No more sharing! To combine our online services, all members will be required to re-enroll using this initial login information:
  • Members will need to enroll as though they are a first-time user. Follow the prompts to enroll.
  • After the technology upgrade, you can access your Online Banking (and Bill Pay) again by re-enrolling into Online Banking at www.dynamicfcu.com.

    EACH person who is a member/joint owner of the credit union will set up their OWN username and password. No more sharing!

    Items needed to re-enroll in Online Banking are:
    • Account Number (member number; typically, 5 or 6 digits in length),
    • Full social security number, and
    • Date of birth.
  • You will then create a username and password and after re-enrolling to Online Banking, you will have full access to your accounts again! The new username and password you created will be how you access your accounts (and Bill Pay) moving forward.

Starting Friday, October 28, balance inquiries on Online and Mobile Banking, Phone Banking or at ATMs may not reflect the most current transactions. Balances will be updated by Tuesday, November 1.

Online and Mobile Banking, Text Banking, Phone Banking will be unavailable after close of business, 6:00 pm, on Friday, October 28 through Tuesday, November 1. All three services are being upgraded and will require new re-enrollment and setup. Instructions will be provided closer to conversion.

On the new Online Banking and Mobile App systems, you will have 5 years of transaction history available and 24 months of eStatements available. For questions about your account history, please contact the credit union for assistance in accessing this information.

Bill Pay
During the conversion weekend any payments (including one-time or recurring) scheduled to process on Saturday, October 29, 2022 through Tuesday, November 1, 2022, will be processed on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Bill Pay will not be available during the upgrade weekend, so we advise you to schedule any payments needed prior to Friday, October 28, 2022 at 4:00 pm EST.

After the technology upgrade, you can access your Bill Pay again by re-enrolling into Online Banking at www.dynamicfcu.com.

The items needed to re-enroll in Online Banking are:

  • Account Number (member number; typically, 5 or 6 digits in length),
  • Full social security number, and
  • Date of birth.

You will then create a username and password and after re-enrolling to Online Banking, you will have full access to your accounts again! The new username and password you created will be how you access your accounts (and Bill Pay) moving forward.

Once you are signed into our new Online Banking, you can click on My Finance and then choose Bill Pay. This will take you to the same Bill Pay page that you are currently familiar with (note: you may need to Allow Pop-ups to get the Bill Pay tab to open in your browser).

We are excited to introduce our new and improved Telephone Banking system known as “Joy”. She is an exciting new enhancement to our electronic banking services. Users will need to follow the prompts to set up new PINs. Listen carefully for menu changes.

As a result of the core conversion, the credit union will be able to provide:
  • A more convenient and streamlined online and mobile banking experience
  • Enhanced account access with additional security measures and controls
  • More personalized account features and functionality to better manage your money
  • Improved efficiencies in service online, on the phone, and in the branch

Yes. The safekeeping of your account and personal information is the credit union’s top priority. Personal data and account information will be safe and secure throughout the entire conversion process.

No. October statements will arrive within the normal delivery time frame.

Yes. Dynamic Federal Credit Union will be closed on Saturday, October 29, and open at normal business hours on Tuesday, November 1.

In short, no. Your current checks, direct deposits, direct withdrawals will continue to work now and into the future. Should you inquire about your account number after November 1, our new system will produce a new account number for you. Both account numbering (current and post November 1) will connect appropriately to your account.

Yes. Debit and credit card purchases will process as normal, and you will have ATM access.

A note regarding Debit Card Balance Inquiries: Starting on Friday, October 28, balance inquiries may not reflect all transactions until Tuesday, November 1. Spending from debit accounts should be tracked carefully to avoid overdraft.

Yes. Our ATMs will be available for use.

No. Online and Mobile Banking and Text Banking will be unavailable from approximately 6:00 pm on Friday, October 28, until the new online banking platform goes live on Tuesday, November 1.

A note about the new Online and Mobile Banking platform: The new Online and Mobile Banking platform will be accessible on Tuesday, November 1. The new DFCU Mobile Banking app will be available for download and installation from App Store and Google Play. All users (primary and joint owners) will need to enroll as a first-time user and follow the prompts to set up new credentials the first time they log in to either Online Banking or the new Mobile Banking app.

Mobile Deposit will be available on 11/1/2022, when the new Mobile App platform goes live.

Due to our technology conversion planned for the end of the month, Dynamic Federal Credit Union's Bill Pay will be unavailable at the close of our normal business day on Friday, October 28, 2022. (6:00 pm EST).
