    Your membership to Dynamic Federal Credit Union starts here!  When you open your savings account (principal share), you become a member and owner of Dynamic FCU.  The funds you deposit into this account are considered your “shares” in the credit union.  This gives you a voice in the credit union’s decisions and allows you to participate in our cooperative. 



    Whether you are planning for short-term goals like saving for Christmas, an upcoming vacation, or annual home expenses… or long-term goals like your child’s first vehicle or college… our various savings accounts have you covered!  


    A minimum balance requirement of $5.00 is all you need to open your new:

  • Health Savings Accounts

    A Health Savings Account (HSA) is more than just a savings account for medical expenses.  As the cost of healthcare rises, an HSA gives you some control over your medical spending.  If you have a High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), you are eligible to open an HSA to help you pay for deductible health expenses and other out-of-pocket medical costs while you save for future medical expenses.  


    Please consult your tax advisor to ensure you are eligible and to discuss the tax guidelines.


    HSA accounts have many benefits:


    • Dividends are earned tax-free.
    • You can deduct contributions that you make to your HSA on your federal income tax return.
    • Any HSA contributions made through payroll deduction reduce your federal income tax liability and Social Security and Medicare taxes.
    • Earnings in your HSA grow tax-deferred.
    • HSA distributions that you use to pay for qualified medical expenses are tax-free.
    • You are in charge of your HSA assets.
    • You can withdraw money for medical expenses at any time.
    • You can carry over your HSA balance from year to year.
    • You own the HSA and can take it with you even if you change health plans or employers.

Q. How does the debit card work?

 At stores, restaurants, service stations & other MasterCard merchants, it works like a check. You present the card to the cashier, sign the receipt, and your purchase is deducted from your checking account. At Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), it works just like an ATM card and you use your Personal Identification Number (PIN). You can use it to shop where ever you see the MasterCard logo and request cash at any Star or Alliance One automatic teller machine (ATM).


Q. I follow the same steps as when I use a credit card, but its not a credit card?

Right! Your debit card is accepted by merchants just like a MasterCard. The difference is that your purchases will be deducted from your credit union checking account.


Q. Are there any fees when I use it?

There will be no monthly service fee for having a debit card or for using it at merchants.  But certain transactions may have associated fees.  Please see our fee schedule for a list of our EFT Fees.


You can use your card at Dynamic’s ATM to withdraw cash 15 times per month and to do 15 balance inquiries per month for free; after that there is a $2.00 charge per cash withdraw or inquiry. Dynamic also allows cardholders 5 free Point of Sale Transactions (debit transactions) or foreign ATM transactions a month & 2 free foreign ATM inquiries per month, after that there is a $2.00 charge per Point of Sale transaction or foreign ATM transaction or inquiry.


Transactions are considered “debit” transactions when you use your PIN (at an ATM or by selecting “debit” at a merchant). 


Q. Are there spending limits for my debit card?

You can spend up to the balance of your checking account, or $1,500 per transaction. At the ATM, you can withdraw up to $500 per day.


Q. Could I overdraw my checking account when I use my debit card?

A. Yes! If you do not have sufficient funds available, then just as with overdrawn checks, you can expect to pay some fees.  Please see our fee schedule for a list of our EFT Fees.

Also, as a reminder, if you make a deposit at the credit union in the morning your balance on the ATM system may not update until 24 hours later.  Always use your online banking or mobile app to check your most accurate Available Balance.* This balance does not reflect any outstanding checks/drafts, ACH/EFT pre-authorized transactions you may have performed.


Q. Will my debit card purchases appear on my monthly statement?

When you shop with your debit card, the amount, date and the place where you used it appears on your statement.


Q. How will I start using my card?

For your protection, you must activate your ATM/Debit Card and set your PIN by calling US: 1-800-290-7893, or International: 206-624-7998, and you’re on your way to using your new card!


Q. What if my card is lost or stolen?

Report your lost or stolen card to us immediately at 1-419-586-5522. 


Q. Why is my debit card being declined?

Fraud Protection: Have you received a call from MasterCard Fraud Center regarding your debit card? Please call back the number they provided to determine if the transactions in question are fraud or non-fraud.


Traveling: If you are traveling, and your card is getting declined running the card as a credit, try to use your card with your PIN. Some states and merchants require PIN usage.

• Also, our Reloadable Visa Travel Money Card is a wonderful solution to counter the recent global fraud activities. If you are traveling or making online purchases, we recommend you carry the Travel Money Card to make purchases at convenience stores and gas stations. The Travel Card is instantly issued at the Credit Union and the card is activated in 24 hours.


Wherever you travel: Let us know you are traveling by adding travel plans inside our mobile app and this will place a travel plan on your account.  Be sure that your cell phone number and email address is updated in our records so that if there are any issues, our fraud service will be able to reach you quickly.

Q. How does the ATM card work?

Q. How does the card work?

It works like an HSA check. You present your HSA debit card to pay for your qualified medical expenses. The IRS limits use of this card and account to qualified medical expenses and that any non-qualified expenditures must be reported to the IRS. This card may not be used at all merchants that accept MasterCard debit cards (due to the merchant’s category code).  This card cannot be used at any ATM.

Q. Card Fraud Monitoring Service

In our continuing efforts to keep your accounts secure, we've improved our alert system for potential debit card fraud. Here's how it works:


When potential fraud is detected, you will receive an automatic email notification, phone call, or text message from Dynamic Federal Credit Union with the option to reply with "fraud" or "no fraud." Remember - our messages will never ask for your full card number, PIN, or account number.


Please update your personal information with us to ensure you receive any fraud correspondence.
